You can start by making statement about what you do, subsequently about why you make the artwork, describe your art-making techniques, talk about your current work or your art philosophy. Keep it short, to the point and with simple language.
Sample of Artist Statement (STORY FORMAT)
Nancy McIntyre, silk screen artist: “I like it when a place has been around long enough that there is a kind of tension between the way it was originally designed to look and the way it looks now, as well as a tension between the way it looks to whoever is caring for it and the way it looks to me. Trouble is, the kinds of places I find most appealing keep getting closed or torn down.
Celebrate the human, the marks people make on the world. Treasure the local, the small-scale, the eccentric, the ordinary: whatever is made out of caring. Respect what people have built for themselves. Find the beauty in some battered old porch or cluttered, human-scale storefront, while it still stands.”

Jeff O’Neal, seasoned photography artist: "I am one of the founders of THEUPPERMOST and THEUPPERMOTION (wedding photography and videography services) that had won many awards and accolades around the globe (Fearless Photographer Award, Wedding Photojournalist Association Award, Top 100 Wedding Photographer in The World and more). I was selected as a judge for international photography communities. I have shot more than 400 newlywed couples worldwide (Zanzibar - Tanzania, Nairobi - Kenya, Phuket - Thailand, and more), traveled to 5 continents (Africa, Australia, Asia, Europe, and America), am also the owner a sneaker company."
We welcome all artists whether you already have your own online shop, joined other gallery, sell on other platform. Our focus is to build a positive community and support artists across the globe.
One important note, please make sure that you:
DO NOT have exclusive contract with other gallery / platform - this can be a conflict of interest and not good for your reputation as an artist if you breach the contract by joining us.
DO NOT sell the same limited edition artworks with us - limited edition is meant to be limited. If you limit your artwork sale for 10 pieces, and you are still selling it for more than 10 pieces, this will give you a bad reputation amongst the buyer / collector's community.
Other that these two reasons, feel free to submit your application with us. Visit Artist Call Program page for more details.
Our gallery has installed a security feature to disable any right click or copy of images or text on our main pages as well as product pages.
Also, as our artists upload any image to our gallery system, it will automatically be compressed to a low resolution, decent enough for online visitors to view comfortably. All of the images that you see on the product pages are no larger than 600 x 600 pixels. The original, high-resolution images are much, much larger and are kept in a secure location that's not visible on the website.
First of all, don't worry about PPI (pixels per inch) or DPI (dots per inch)... at all. Those parameters are irrelevant. All that matters is that actual size of your image in pixels.
You want to capture your images with the highest resolution camera or digital scanner that you have access to. For camera, A 10 megapixel camera is better than a 5 megapixel camera.
Simply capture or scan an image of your artwork, take the image, clean up (post process it if necessary) e.g. adjust the light, crop and so on – then upload your file and send to Artatler Online Gallery using the form the we send to you (our form has ability to upload files)
( IMPORTANT ) DO NOT ENLARGE YOUR IMAGE IN PHOTOSHOP
Please take the time to write a detailed and compelling artwork description! They help collectors and our curators discover new works and understand your background about the work.
Art descriptions should include practical info such as: - materials used, texture, inspiration, what are you trying to convey to your audience, why did you choose the subject matter, style, and so on.
Sample of Artwork Description:
Botero’s works are acclaimed and easily recognised by his unique style - ‘Boterismo’. His depiction of the nude is also subject to this alteration of the human form, enlarging human flesh and meat to appear exorbitantly bulky. Nudes allow for more scrutinisation of the body, with the folds and curves carving interesting portrayals. The act of undressing hence becomes crucial in this study, as the subject reveals her concealed parts, seducing us to gaze intently. The drawing also exposes viewers to a different attitude of female voyeurism, as Botero composes the figure in a forthright position from the viewer, with a distorted background commanding attention to lead back to the figure.
